Default NEED HELP TRUCK WON'T START

I have a 89 dodge ram d100 i'm having trouble getting it to start all i get is a click and that's it i've replaced the ignition coil had the starter checked it was still good, changed the ignition switch and nothing, i've hooked up a toogle switch and it will start and run but the battery is being drained in the process. Can't figure it out can anyone help me find the problem or has had a similar problem anything would help

I think you answered your own question, your battery is being drained, it's the alternator.

Check both ends of the battery cables to make sure they are clean and tight.
Have you checked or replaced the starter relay?
