Default wheel size on 1993 W250?

I recently bought a 1993 W250 Diesel. It has the factory wheels which look like hubcaps. I want to put on some new rims using the existing tires. Can someone tell me what size wheels I need to buy?

Thanks,
Mahendra

Default RE: wheel size on 1993 W250?

Existing tires are probably 235/85r16, at least that is what was on my 86 W250

235 is a 9.5" wide tire, so you'd be ok to get a 16x7 or 16x8" wheel.
