Default 89 W250 and a 79 w300 axle swap ??? Is it possible ???

I have a 89 Dodge w250 diesel cummins 12v w/ a 5 spd, locking front hubs and a dana 60 rear.

I just recently bought a 4spd 4wd w300 it's a a979 w/ a dana 60 rear I believe.

My question is, "How do I make a one ton between the two?"

The 79 has a non-locking front axle, but the 89 w250 is setup for a non-dually rim, but has a locking front axle.

In other words, the wheel studs and mount are closer to the rbrake rotor than the outside of the hub. on the 79 w300's axle, the wheel mounts closer to the end of the axle, not close to the rotor. It's looks like I can pull of the lcoking front hub, and just switch the wheel mount around, to get the wheel to mount closer to the end of the axle, in order to mount the front dually rims.

Is there anyway I can switch something around to be able to mate up the one ton rims to my 3/4 ton front axle, like swapping the hub or wheel mount around or something?

The rear I believe is going to be easy, just remove the dually mounts from the dana 60 on the 79 w300 and put em on the rear w250's dana 60. Then I should be able to munt up the dually rims on the 3/4's rear 60.

Basically I got an old one tome dodge and a newer 3/4 ton dodge, with HD axle package and stuff, diesel 5spd, so now I wann make a one tone betweeen the teo, but avoiding the use of the older axles, jsut maybe some parts and the wheels obviously. As a matter of fact the w250 already hads a higher GVW than the w300 according to the door tags.

Anyone with any info or direction ???? Your comments or abusive insults at my idiocy are both welcomed!!!

Thanks

I'm confused. Why do you want to put dually wheels on your 3/4 ton? Is it so you can have the wider footprint out back for a camper?

Yah basically, remove the sway I get sometimes when towing a trailer. I haul a lot of cars around with it, and i also do pressure washing where sometimes I can carry almost 500 gallons of water around, it can get swaying pretty bad sometimes, so just trying to counteract it. Plus dually's are cool, lol.

Basically I'm trying to figure out how to put dually wheels on my 89 3/4 dana 60 front and rear I believe. The old 79 one ton has that crap costant 4wd axle front and the basically same 60 rear, my concern is more about the front than the rear.

Any help gentleman????

enless they changed something on the 89s and the 92s you can't put dually wheels on the 3\4 ton axles....enless we got some weird off set dually wheels they hit the springs when tring to put them on...for the rear ....for the front i bet you'll have to swap hubs and everything out on it..i'm thinking it would eaiser to put the cummins 5spd in the dually
