Default advice please!?!?!

Ok i got a 89' ram i have had for almost a year. Its a short bed d100 with a 3.9 v6. Its just a daily driver and i have never had any problems with it. I have been working on the body planning on getting it painted and was then going to swap in a v8. I have recently found out that it is expensive to do this swap. So i waas looking for some opinions. my options are...keep the truck and get it painted, spend a lot of money get painted swap in v8, keep it get it painted and build the v6, or sell and get a v8 truck. any help would be appreciated thanks.

Cheaper to just get a v8 truck, but you could get a beater v8 truck and swap the stuff you need, then replace it all as it goes bad. There's no cheap way to own an old truck.

If you don't need the truck it's a good time to do the resto/swap at the same time. Yard everything out of it, repair and paint, then swap in the new stuff.
