Default 1978 PowerWagon price?

My dad just bought a 1978 PowerWagon. its a V8, 4x4 automatic, REALLY nice shape! interior looks perfect even the floor does. it has 43000 orignal miles. it drives perfect and smooth, and the engine seem to run beautifully.

we were wondering if the $3000 he paid for it was a good price? and what are the normal prices these go for?

he's thinking of putting it on ebay cause he really was looking more for a jeep.

$3000 is a standard "old truck" price for something in decent mechanical shape. Sounds like your dad got a good deal if it's clean and everything works right. 43k miles is really low, to the point that if it sat for several years you may have to replace all the belts, hoses, and seals.

After 20 years of age, cars are no longer 'blue booked' because it becomes too difficult to determine actual value as cars 20+ years old can vary so greatly in condition (all the way from fully restored to pieces of rusted hulk).

But I'd say 3k for something clean and shiny that works and runs good is a fair deal.
