Really lame question....
I have a 1978 Dodge D-100 w/ 318ci. Exactly what (generation) is my truck. Im not really sure if its even considered a "Ram" or not. when I look-up parts, I usually select "full-size P/U" Don't know if that has anything to do with it or not....

Yours isn't a Ram at all, it's a Power Wagon. First Gen Rams started in what, 80 or 81 until 93. Before that they weren't Rams at all. It's not a bad thing at all, Power Wagons are every bit as cool, if not a little more so.
But they're mechanically equals, pretty much the same hardware, just some sheet metal stuff a bit different

People may call them Rams, but they're wrong. Technically, 2wd models are D series trucks (which carried over through 93) and the 4wds were W series. IIRC all of the Power Wagons in the 70s were 4wd.

By labeled I mean that the badge "Ram" was attached to the truck somewhere.
