is my starter getting too much heat from my hedders?

More than likely if it keeps going bad. They make heat deflectors.

my starteer went bad. couple of things you can do, first its more expensive put look into having the headers ceramic coated this will reduce headers surface temp by almost 300 degrees and or buy starter heat sheild from jegs and cut it to fit you starter and slip it over

look in jegs or summit or any performance catalog maybe even at ur local auto store they have header whraps that keep the heat in the pipes where they belong im sure this will help u greatly
