Well. I picked this up for $500.00 a few months ago for work/play truck.
Started off with the normal first round parts. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, fuel filter, some ignition controllers just to be safe. New starter (got tired of starting it with a screw driver)
Put some new carpet inside and worked on the door panels too. Nothing major. The handles turned out like crap and im going to re-do them... crapy vinyl.
Then put the roll bar and the 4 "Driving" lights up there. and now im going to put on a old school bolt on push bar, with 2 more lights. Looking for a "cheap" way to get some air under it.... kind of an oxymoron.. no real cheap way to do it but hoping to keep the cost down. Let me know if you have any suggestions on a lift kit. 2WD btw.
Leave some comments.
Thanks
Nate

John,
The carpet used is actually LEER headliner material for their toppers and Tonneau covers. I work at a LEER dealer and picked it up at cost (under 30$) and had enough to do the floor and both door panels. I used it not only because it is cheap but is VERY easy to work with it can be stretched and formed around corners with minimal effort. I used boat glue to make sure it wouldnt go anywhere (For the floor only). The doors I used 3M super 90 spray glue. The only draw back that it is not pvc backed carpet... so it is not heavy duty. If you abuse it youll go through it in 6 months. I use some heavy duty rubber floor mats that actually catch most of the crap I drag into the truck.
