2002 5.2 Ram Van overheating
Van overheats and spills coolant everywhere when hot. I changed water pump and thermostat but same issue. This van sat for many years and has only 60k miles and runs stellar. The coolant was rusty but no debris.
Im thinking the radiator is the issue, (which is cheap) but wanted to see what the experts say on here before I invest anymore into this POS.

Pick up a cheap IR temp gun, get the engine up to temp, and then start shooting various spots on the radiator. If temps vary quite a bit, yep, it's clogged.
Could try flushing it first, before spending the money to replace it.

Yes, it could be a plugged radiator. It could also be a bad head gasket pumping compression into the cooling system. Run it with the radiator cap off and watch for non-stop air bubbles in the coolant. If there is, then a bad head gasket moves up high on the list of possible causes.
