If you use the "Step" button on the console under the climate controls, you can go through the preferences and shut off the horn with locking.

I had a problem like that with my Camaro. It was a 99 and I bnought it used. Great car and well had to part with her two kids and well gas $$$$$. Check this out the chevy dealer I bought the car from did not have the keyless remote for the car just two sets of keys. The car hada factory alarm and well every time I would open the door with the keys I had about 30 seconds before the alarm went off. I took it to the dealer three times and they said thats what it's supposed to do???? I said OK with a fuzzy look on my face.
Let me tell you about GM unless you are gonna buy a corvette don't bother cause I have sunk so much money into them for nothing. A little history behind how I got my Avenger.
My Camaro hit 90K mikes this year and well over the past two years had been putting a lot of money into it to keep her running. A couple of months ago I get a letter from the dealership saying they are looking to fill thereinventory with the used Camaros(sales pitch to get me in) I say why not lets go look and see what they will offer me. I take it to the GM/Chevy dealer and well they say they will give me not even half the blue book value for my car and that no one wants the older Camaros because the new oneis coming out in 09. I said I have a letterfrom you guys saying different. Sales manager and staff getweird and say well well well nothing. I said this letter says you will pay top dollor for used Camaros and they looked at me like I had three heads. So I said see ya!
My wife has divenJeeps Neons for yearsand well the dealership she has been going to is a Family owned Dodgedealership. They gave me 10 dollarsabove blue book value for my Camaro and got me into an 08 Avengerat the price point I wanted with no confusion no bull****. They were friendlywe walked in the the salesperson who knows my wife came out and handed me three keys.One for a charger, one for a magnum, and one for the avenger. He said I amfinishing up with someonego out back and you two take a couple of cars out for a while and see whats whats. GM just lost a customer.
