Default Personal opinion on the R/T

I stated a day ago that I would post photos of my new Avenger R/T, but I have been haveing to much fun driving it.As soon as the weather getsnice I will take some, and will post them up.

My personal opinion on the car. We all know about personal opinions.
I think theP215/55R18 low profile tire's are excellent in combo with the AWD system. I thought at first that the Auto Stick was going to be a joke, but Dodge has done very good with this addition to the transmission. It does add a little more performance in the way of be able to control the shifting at higher rpm's. The TQ alsoseems alot better when using auto shift. Now, I went from a V8 4.7L in a Dakotawith alot of modsto this 3.5L HO V6. This V6 HO is a very good motor, and when given the gas it can, and will move very well. A motor that willbeat the Mustang and Camoro V6'sall day long. Iwonder what this 3.5L could dowith a turboor blower on it. If Dodge realy wanted to make a sleeper out ofthe Advenger, just makeit rear wheel drive with a 4.7LHO and call it an SRT.
This is a very fun car and built very good and it handles great when in AWD, and even when not in AWD. I will be keeping this Advenger R/T for along time.

Glad to hear you like it. I agree that the new autostick is a lot better than earlier ones and better than the MB ones found in the Charger. The 3.5L feels very good in the Avenger; however, I have yet to test the AWD model yet. The only thing that is a little inaccurate about what you wrote is the 3.5L used in the Avenger R/T is not the H.O. The EGJ 3.5L used in the Avenger produces 235hp & 232 ft-lbs of tq; meanwhile, the EGG 3.5L H.O. used in the Charger and other LX models produce 250 hp & 250 ft-lbs of tq.

It states 3.5L High Output V6 24-Valve MPI Engine on the window sticker that was on my R/T. You had me thinking it might be a typo by Dodge. I called the dealer and they stated 3.5L HO. I asked my Uncle who is a former Dodge engine builder, and he states that it is an HO. He even made a call to confrim it. But, you had me thinking that my dealer did not know anything about the Advenger R/T he sold me.

Totally agree with you!

I've had my AWD since 5/30 and it's one of the best cars I've own.
Only down size is gas mileage is horrible getting only 16/25.
Small price to pay for this quality car& the low $$$ the car cost!

I wonder if there is anything we can do to our engines to unlock those ponies and get this engine back up to 250hp...

So far there is realy nothing after market for the 3.5L yet. But, if you want some power try STS Turbo system's. They make a universal turbo unit. I'm going to wait and see if there will be a performance programer for the 3.5L.
