I just ordered one...
Just ordered an Avenger R/T AWD in Sunburst Orange with everything except the Rear DVD system. Should be in around mid November. I am interested in looking at after market add-ons for the Avenger (both decorative and performance) but am totally new to it as I have never modified my previous cars. Where would you go to look at that sort of thing, and also where are good places to look about window tinting and graphics (like the ones shown in one of the previous threads in this forum). I want to know what out there is available, and also information on what is something I can easily learn to do myself, or what I should have done by somebody else.

I also have a loaded AWD with rear DVD.
My car took exactly 8 weeks to arrive to dealer.
You might want to figure 1st week of Dec. so u don't get disappointed?
Best of luck with your new ride. Love mine!
Gratz man! You're gonna love the car especially with the features you ordered.. I mean I have never beenactively posting in a forum with any of my past cars because I was so into them.. but I'm kind of addicted to this car..
I was quoted as 6-10 weeks for delivery but my car showed up at the dealer to my surprise in 3 weeks (Wasn't quite prepared financially for the early arrival so I had to borrow some $$)
I bought the same config as you (Everything but rear DVD) but bought it in black.. Currently add on wise I have addedthe side wind deflectors, front bug deflector, K&N air filter, Splash guards, door molding, 10" Subwoofers, I bought a sunroof deflector but i think its kind of big so I will probably send it back and get something thinner cause it looks like its going to cover up half the sunroof which wasn't something I was looking for.. I also ordered a pair of hood scoops just to give the car a sportier look.
You can install everything in the following list by yourself but I recommend you let a pro do your window tint. While window tinting isn't that hard once you have some experience with it,I would recommend taking your car to a professional to have it tinted. If you use the cheap films in your local auto parts store it will likely turn purple soon as they use cheap dies that react to UV sunlight. and if you don't do it correctly you may end up with bubbles all over the place (Although I have seen cars with tint bubbles everywhere I cant imagine how they could have done that bad of a job unless they justslapped it on with their hands and no tools) but screwing up tint on your rear window can be quite expensive or tediousif you need to remove the film as you cant use razorblades because you will cut into the defroster lines.. I have a decent amount of experience applying tint but when it comes to a brand new car I want it perfect so I'm going to have my tint done professionally. If you really want to try tinting your windows try it out on one of the side windows, let it sit for a few days and see how it looks.. this way removing it wont ruin your car as much as a rear window mistake will.(You can remove tint with strong ammonia without using razors.. but do you want your new smelling likeAmmonia when its brand new?) If you had an old car I would tell you to knock yourself out and try tinting it.. but new is something else unless you really don't have the $ to have it done professionally or just don't care about the possible consequences.
Currently there isn't alot of addons but there's a few things you can do to spice up your ride.. and I'm sure I'm missing a few.. but Ill post links to all the stuff i have added.

Subwoofers:
If you purchased the Boston Acoustics sound package you will probably be very happy with the stock system and wont need subwoofers. They sound clear, and have a surprisingly large amount of bass considering its coming from the factory.. You will have mirrors shaking with the sound package. But if for whatever reason you want your hair to stand on end and heart to skip beats... you may want to add a subwoofer
I know you can get all sorts of subs and enclosures but I am posting this one for the following reasons:
1) its MAD cheap.
2) it fits perfectly in the trunk. Height clearance is a little low under the stock 6x9 speakers but you can fit bigger boxes if you place them towards the back, and if you have the trunk organizer it fits perfectly behind that as well
3) it friggen pounds hard
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-iFhGqlI...mp;i=575PL1210
If you want to install subs I can give you a few quick tips that may save you some time..
1) When running the power cable, instead of bolting directly to the battery (Which is hidden behind your left bumper and is a pain to access) you can bolt the cable to the Jump startterminal (Provided you don't need insane amount of amperage cause the stock wire that runs to that emergency jump start terminalis a little thin)
2) There is a really nicely sized access hole through the firewall under your dashboard to the left of your steering wheel covered by a rubber grommet. There is a square piece of rubberized flooring covering it but you can pull that right off to access the hole/grommet. Just take out the grommet drill a hole slightly smaller than your power cable in the grommet and slide your power cable through and it will be sealed from rain etc.
3) There are no RCA jacks on the radio, so you will need a line input converter (Link above) that connects to your rear speakerwires and provides you withline level RCA jacks by lowering the speaker output toinput line levels. You don't need to cut the speaker wires, just strip off some insulation and make a connection.
4) You can use one of the bolts that hold down the back seat to use for a ground connection (There are3 bolts) you can see them by folding down the back seats and lifting the carpet. They are actually pretty nicely grounded. I have no speaker hum at all.The bolts are a little large though so make sure you have large eye terminals.
5) I have found that the red wire of the front lighter makes a pretty good amplifier on/off connection. It turns on and off with the delayed lighting so if you're still listening to the radio with the key out of the ignition your bass wont disappear.
ok, now back to the links

The last time I checked I couldn't find racing brake pads and discs, or better performance tires than whats currently on the car but I'm sure that's going to change soon.
I also found a cheezy fan operated 1psi universal supercharger but 1psi isn't a lot and there's just something that is so cheezy about it that I barely wanted to mention it here.

Does the air filter increase gas mileage at all? Or does it just slightly up the horsepower?
Also, does the muffler just change the sound of the car, or does it add any other performance?
What exactly does Juicebox do? There is almost no information on their "online store"
And lastly, I guess I wouldn't need BlueGig as Uconnect comes with the car, and on FreeGig it says that route guidance doesn't work when it is active. I hope there is another way to activate the DVD player.

They saythe filtershould improve gas mileage and hp. I put mine in yesterday, so I will let you know. As far as the muffler goes, it does increase the performance and sound. It allows exhaust to exit easier, increasing flow and horsepower. By how much? That I do not know. I am adding one for sound alone, the h.p. increase is just a bonus.

I found some hood scoops for Chargers. You know sometimes these sites lie and you think you're getting a special scoop for Charger and it's really a just a universal hood scoop.lol
I ordered these hood scoops.. They just came in but I have to wait 5 days for the paint to arrive so its going to be a little while before theyre on my car..
http://www.jcwhitney.com/wcsstore/jc...6515G_CL_1.jpg
Iplaced them on the hood to check them out and they look pretty good.. I wanted to preserve the center lines in the hood so thats why I went with dual scoops instead of a single.

Since I apparently have so much time on my hands
I started writing racing brake companies asking them to please consider production on racing brake products for the 2008 Dodge Avenger..
I didn't want to spend too much time on it so i only went after 3 product lines
PowerSlot which makes Hawk racing pads and Powerslot Rotors ( http://www.powerslot.com/pages/contact_us.html)
and
Brembo
( http://www.brembo.com/ENG/Contact)
I figure if they don't know there is demand for these products then they wont bother making them... So if you guys have some free time please write them so we can have some performance products for our Avengers
