Default New problem

After three days my car is still at the dealership. The newest problem with my R/T version, is that it will just not move after giving it the gas. It just sits there untill it feels it wants to move. As much as three minutes can go by. The dealership has been very good though, as it gave me an 05Chrysler 300 with all the goodies to drive untill myAvenger is fixed. I will say that the 300 is a very nice car, but I do miss my Avengeralot. Chrysler has stated that the problem with mine is a sensor that goes behind the gas pedel(sp). But, Chrysler seems to be taking their time getting the sensor sent out to the dealership for my car. On a side note : If anyone ever thinks of getting a Chrysler 300 with the 3.5L HO V-6, the 3.5L is a very good power plant for the 300. The Avenger with the 3.5L seems to be much more responsive when given the gas though,...even though the 3.5L used in the 300 has more horse power. The ride difference is very noticeable between the two cars. To me the Avenger R/T AWD is stiffer and seems to take railroad tracks much nicer. Where as the 300 is more spongy. The cabin quiteness is very good in both cars. While I do like the 300, I want my Avenger back.

Default RE: New problem

I have a slight issue with the gas pedal that sounds a little like your problem.. I basically have to press the pedal downfurther then a normal car to get it to start moving and I experience hesitationalthough not for more than 2 seconds when Ipress the pedal. I wouldn't consider it a problem but I would imagine the pedal sensor is notadjustedperfectly in my car.

I had a rented Chrysler 300 when I was waiting for my Avenger to be delivered.. I had rented about 6 different cars in the time since my 97 Avenger's transmission blew up till the delivery of the 08 Avenger and the Chrysler 300 was by far my favorite rental.

If the 300 you have now has sport shift and rear wheel drive.. Take that puppy into a parking lot, cut the front wheels all the way for front resistance, drop it into 1st gear, Turn off ESP,drop the hammerand do some doughnuts with it.. Should make you feel better about your Avenger being broken and release some stress
I know its wrong to beat on rental/loaner cars but I had a blast with the 300 filled the entire parking lot with smoke.. Good thing my wife is immature like me cause she hadfun in the passenger seat as well The tires looked just fine when I was done visiting all the parking lots in my area (Multiple times) So no harm no foul
