Default Caliper Paint...

So I picked up the duplicolor caliper paint set at Canadian Tire for $23. I am going black, since the rest of my car is red, and the body has chrom and black accents. Summer rims I plan to get - include the idea of black as well. So I cant wait to use it...

Anyone here ever use this set/paint their calipers?

I want to know what I am in for

Yes, I painted mine last Friday. See the post from me about it. Looks pretty good, and was very easy to do.

Don't be afraid to take the calipers off when you paint them.. There's just 4 bolts in the back (Or you can just remove the bottom 2 to get the caliper off in 1 piece)The bolts arejust on a little tight but if you take the calipers off you will end up with a much more professional look and wont have to worry about painting parts that you don't want painted. After the bolts are off the caliper slides right off of the rotor. It will add like 5 more minutes to the mod but I feel its worth it.

Remember the bolts are metric and to use the right size so you wont strip the bolt head.

Yeah, good suggestion. I was too lazy though. I did find that any paint that got on something I didn't want painted was easy to remove. Just let it dry a few minutes, and I used the flathead of a screwdriver to gently scrape off excess paint. It came off of the stainless clips really easy, and even came off of the pads real easy as well. I am real happy at how much a simple and cheap mod adds to the overall look of the wheels.
