I have had my Avenger since they first came out in the begining of the year. We like the vehicle but the vehicle will stall out on occasions when it's at a complete stop. When it stalls no warning lights come on and the radio stays on. I have had it back to the shop three times now and they can't seem to find the problem. It only does it every once and awhile but I 'am worried about the safety factor now. Has anyone else had a stalling problem?

I'm no expert but it sounds like a fuel issue to me, I had an old ****ty car that if Ididn't throw it in nuetral and keep my foot on the pedal it would stall. What has the dealer ever looked at as possible problems

Does it ever hesitate when you step on it? Will it stall at just idle or is it when you stop, Im saying if you just start the car and let it idle will it ever stall or is it only in a driving then stopping situation event? If it is just a random thing on stops I would guess there is maybe something in your fuel tank that is moving around and sometimes blocks fuel flow when you stop and it is positioned just right. Just a guess though, I'm no mechanic!!

 

I found that these Chrysler vehicles are being recalled because of stalling issues. You have to look down the list. I'm wondering if there's a connection if you know what I mean. http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a
