Surging
Hey Guys
I have noticed lately my R/T surges in 5 and 6 gear. What I mean if you keep the car at 1500 RPM in thoses gears you can hear and watch the engine increase and decrease in RPM about 200 - 300 each way. Has anyone else seen this?

This isnt the same issue.. But at high speeds (Above 90) with the throttle floored I noticed that the engine increases speed in small steps with each step within 1.4 seconds apart instead of steadily increasing speed..
Ill have to check it out the next time im driving to see if your issue occurs because if im in 6th gear on a highway im usually going as fast as traffic allows and my RPMs are usually higher.
Are you referring to the car being in those gears while in drive, when using the sport shift, or either? if its just in drive then the car may be switching back and forth between those gears as you may be right on the shift line for that speed even though you should see a higher RPM variance when it does shift between them..
Then again knowing Dodge lately im sure there is an actual issue that you are experiencing

The car is not switching gears, its actually increaseing and decreasing in engine speed. You can hear it in the exhaust and watch the tach jump. It does happen in full auto as well as in manual mode. It started a little time after they fashed the trans for the hard hift but the colder it gets outside the worse it is.
Gotcha, I didn't get my transmission flashed but I'll check it out to see if I experience that issue as I seem to have been experiencing every other issue out there with this car so far
Its like my car is a hypochondriac
