Another Recall
I just got this from another web sight. It looks like Chrysler has just issued another recallfor the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger. This one is for another electrical problem. The recall number is H07. I confirmed it on the NHTSA web sight.
To summarize, here is a quotefrom Chrysler's notice:
"Unused electrical connectors for the tire pressure monitoring system may become corroded and could short circuit, which can cause a variety of conditions including engine no-start, dead battery, an inoperative cruise control or remote start system, and/or engine stalling. This condition does not interfere with operation of the tire pressure monitoring system on any of the affected vehicles."
Another paragraphstates thatthis recall is forSebrings and Avengers built between 3/7/06 and 1/24/08, with standard tire pressure monitoring system (sales code LAB) built through 1/24/08 (MDH 012422). I have no idea what any of that means, so I'll just sit back and wait for the notice. They're supposed to start sending them out around the middle of April.

This one sounds promising...lol
Hey does anyone know of a way to check to see which recalls have been done to your car?
I just want to make sure the dealer fixed them all before I took it off the lot, and I'm bored too!

Supposedly you can check your car's recall status on Dodge's web page. Select "For Owners" on the home page and it'll bring you to the page. But I find itto be useless...I had the G33 door latch recall performedlast November andit still shows up as "Incomplete". When entering the last 8 characters of your VIN, make sure to use UPPER case letters, because,at least in my case, it was case sensitive.
