Default replacing the big plastic engine cover

Hey guys, just picked up my new Journey R/T AWD- wanting to see if anyone makes a engine dress up kit to remove that ugly plastic cover. I did the same thing to my 1995 Impala ss to remove the plastic " home plate" makes things look like an engine.

BTW guys, just for clarification. His Journey is a 3.5L, same as the Avenger.

Just remove the cover, you are only making the engine work harder especially with the warmer climate coming. It's only purpose is noise dampening.

Yeah, but it looks like it covers all the injection wiring harness' and sensors- like to find something that just covers that area only. My SS IMP-i replaced the" home plate " looking thing with vette injector covers andhas no problemsin hotter weather-

Hmm this is all that's under the 3.5 - the vehicles are too new so no aftermarket covers have been made yet - not sure if anyone will make one as it seems all they care about is the v8's and the only thing I can see being replaced is the cam cover, but I don't believe it's the same setup as the chargers or any other 3.5's for that matter. I suppose you could just the universal dress up kits if you're going for looks.

I have been looking for dress up parts as well, only the universal kits are what I have come across. I have a buddy that works with carbon fiber , I put a few bugs in his ear we will see if he comes through. I saw a show on speed that talked about doing chrome over all sorts of plastics and composits but not sure if that will look right and you need to send the parts out to have it done.
