Default Uconnect Issues

Can anyone tell me what problem I might be having with my cell phone connection. I have a 2008 avenger and I have paired my cell phone and it will dial out and other party will answer but the radio will not auto shut off so I can hear the other person. However when I call my cell phone in the car it works perfectly, I only have trouble when trying to call from the car to another phone. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This forum is starting to make me sad. Error after error trying to login!

Anyways, what type of cellular do you have? Some cells have problems with hands free dialing, or activating a "car kit" via bluetooth like uconnect.

How do you dial from your cell in the car? Do you use voice dial on uconnect or manual on the phone?

Run us through the exact process to replicate each - we can help come up with ideas or possible solutions far better with all the details.

Default RE: Uconnect Issues

I have a motorola Z3 and it will recieve an outside call. When making a call I first get in the car and the nav system states that my has been selected and I answer yes to the question. All the setting have been established according to the phone's manual and I then attempt to make a call. I push the "Uconnect" button on my Nav system and it runs through the first menu as to what I want to do. I answer "Dial", it next ask for the number, towing or emergency, and I state the number in which to dial. It relays it back to confirm and I answer yes or no depending on if the car heard me correctly. The car will then dial with no trouble and the party in which you are trying to call can hear you but the car radio will not automatically cut out so you can hear the other end.

Now, here is part two: If you manually dial the number from the phone everything works perfectly, it only happens when you allow the car to dial using "Uconnect".

I hope this wasn't too much, but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. Will be inquiring at the dealership today as well, but not sure if they have any gurus that can help or not. Thanks.
