Mygig & ipod

I have a Mygig in my Avenger but when I try to add my music from my ipod, the Mygig only takes 250 tracks and i have 3000 tracks on the ipod. I know the mygig only has so much space but 250 dose not take up that much space. Any one know what I could do?
