My son's 08 Avenger has the cheap RES but with Sat at least, he was out with his gal, they were enjoying music before. After leaving the show he started the car radio did not come on nor would it. Haven't looked at fuses but just wondering if this is something that enough Avenger or other vehicles with this radio have experienced this. Hopefully a fuse and we don't have to make a trip to the dealer just yet.
While I am here does anyone know of the TSB's recalls and Rapid Response thingy

He got in today and what do you know it works..........? Its got 5 more years of warranty so we shall wait to see if it happens again

 

There are some RES software updates that will cure that problem.... It was pretty common for that to happen before the updates some months ago fixed it.

 

Probably not related but it's worth a shot. I've retrofit a MyGig REN into my '05 Dakota and every once in awhile I'll experience that problem. By now I've learned, shut the truck off, open the fusebox and pull the radio fuse for a few minutes. Fixes it for me every time.
