Default tires wear fast

is anyone else having a problem with tires wearing really fast?

the stock tires only got 20k miles as did the yokahamas we put on after that. we even got a factory warrenty on the yoka's cause they were 80k mile tires.
we're gonna try hancooks next, is there an issue with this car and destroying tire tread or with the 18 inch rims doing so? cause it's gonna get pricey buying tires every 20k miles.

No doubt and those original tires rate a 1 out of 5 for snow and -1 for ice and they put those on cars that are driven in states and provinces with SNOW and ICE what the hell, we should all get a refund. My kid did 6 grand damage tothe front suspension cuz it would not turn and he wasn't even going fast, he tried to save it and just drive up the curb but was too late. We took those tires off after that, we have 2 that are like new because they got replaced the other ones only had 10G kms and they were more that half worn and on the back???? Garbage and expensive. So we replaced them with the new Goodyear Gts, 3 different sections on the tire. But seems they are a soft compound handles great like a differnent car. Dont think we will get but 2 winters which will be 30K km then whatever that summer should be good. So3 summers and 2 and a half winters...not bad for tires. I don't like them older than 3 years old anyway, if you look they usually start to dry rot.

so far the hankook optimo h727 seem great, granted I've always liked hankooks, they are very very quite the car doesn't jump around when hitting a bump like the yoka's did, and there is alot of steering vibrations that went away aswell, it's like the sidewalls of the old tires were way too stiff with a compound that was too soft

Well I keep hearing Japanese tires being complained about....maybe you get what you pay for and with tires I am afraid it is true.
