Default 2008 Avenger window problems

The front drivers side window will not go down. The window is currently in the fully up position. I use the switch to raise the window and I can hear something happen like it is trying to go up. When I use the switch to go down nothing happens. I removed the motor and tried the switch again. When I raise the window the motor turns. When I lower the window nothing happens. Bought a new motor and I have the same issue: when I use the switch to raise the window the motor turns, when I use the switch to lower the window the motor does not turn. Do I need a new switch? HELP!!

It does sound like you got a bad switch.

I now have windows in the front the work when they want to. The passenger side won't even respond sometimes to both the driver or passenger switch. It's like it's a relay or something. How can both sides be broken (Switch), That's just just fishy to me. So has anyone come across this? I have a extended warranty thank God. Bad fuse maybe? Tina did you fix yours yet? I had trouble with the TIPM computer blowing my starter. I'm wondering if I got another bad one.
