Rapid Clicking Noise in Steering Column
My apologies, but I posted this same question in another area and cannot find it. If a mod can, please delete that other post in the general Avenger section announcement area. Thanks.
My problem: I have a rapid clicking noise that appears to be coming from the steering column (can feel vibration) on my 2008 Dodge Aveneger R/T. It just started a week ago and usually occurs when I start the car and lasts for approximately 20 seconds then goes away. In the last two days, this is new, it has also started clicking while I am driving the car and I have no idea what it is, or really where it is.
It sounds like, and I am not mechanically inclined, like a relay doing a rapid click. Everything appears to be working correctly, i.e. headlights, turn signals, etc. The car has about 58k miles on it. Thanks for any advice you might offer.

What model year and engine do you have? Is this something that happened in the past or a current issue?
