My problem: I have a rapid clicking noise that appears to be coming from the steering column (can feel vibration) on my 2008 Dodge Aveneger R/T. It just started a week ago and usually occurs when I start the car and lasts for approximately 20 seconds then goes away. In the last two days, this is new, it has also started clicking while I am driving the car and I have no idea what it is, or really where it is.

It sounds like, and I am not mechanically inclined, like a relay doing a rapid click. Everything appears to be working correctly, i.e. headlights, turn signals, etc. The car has about 58k miles on it. Thanks for any advice you might offer.

I am having the same issue with my 2009 Avenger SXT.

 

In my Dodge Avenger the rapid clicking in the steering wheel is the clock spring going out this happen to me and lost all controls to my raido
