Clear coat coming off!
I bought a used 2008 Avenger and a year later the clear coat is peeling and splotchy in places. it first started on the front fender then the hood and now I am seeing spots on top as well on trunk. It only had 40k miles when I bought it and now 60k.
I pointed this out to the dealer but they say not covered under warranty due to not original owner. My question is how hard is it to have it clear coated again without repainted because the paint looks fine underneath. Can just the clear coat be removed then re clear coated.
I see a lot of dodge cars with this problem. I just don't want to wait to long if it's better to fix it sooner. Seems like dodge wouldn't want folks to drive a dodge car with its clear coat disintegrating and looking bad on an otherwise pristine looking new car.

It's not THAT easy , the clearcoat off has likely damaged the base coat , it's not designed to have water on it and can cause fading/ splotches ect.
You can try to have it wet sanded off and color sanded to even the base coat out then resprayed ... Your likely going to get charged about $200 a panel
