2011 Dodge Avenger remote Start
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a remote start for my 2.4L 4cyl Avenger. What all do I need to have the remote start installed? I want to buy everything off of amazon or someplace and then take it to a professional shop to get it installed. Thanks!
Westyn,
Generally, when installing remote starters vehicles need to be equipped with remote locks. You might want to look at purchasing a Mopar remote starter as the brand is made specifically for Dodge products and the kit will have all the parts you need. Reviewing with a Dodge parts department will also help confirm the part compatibility with your vehicle.
You can also check out www.mopar.ca for accessory options.
If you'd like to PM me your VIN# I can review to advise what your vehicle will need in order to add the remote start options.

I highly recommend you to call your dealer go with a Mopar remote start if you do NOT want any unexpected weird electrical problems in the future. It also comes with 2 extra Keys for you car.
It might cost a little more now, but will save you money and head aches in the future. Ask your mechanics how often they fixed cars with problem related to aftermarket remote starts.
you paid a lot of money for you car, you should consider just a little bit more to get the job done right.
