So I bought this new key fob and it said it was compatible with my car. I've followed the instruction exactly, and it doesn't program.

I insert the first key for five seconds in the ON position. Remove
I insert the second key for 10 seconds and the security light starts to flash (the book says a chime should be heard but that doesn't happen). Remove
I insert the third NEW key, and this is where it messes up, As soon as I insert the key, the security light starts to flash (as it should) but it's supposed to chime and the light should turn off after 10 seconds. But instead, the light just flashes... and flashes... and flashes.. and after about a minute, I hear a chime, and then the light just keeps flashing...

As far as I know, this should work! Am I doing something wrong?
