Default Check engine light

I have a 2011 LUX with the penstar engine and less then 12k miles. Last week I came home from vacation. When I tried to start my car it was like there was no power. A second attempt seemed as though there was a little more juice as lights came on. I had not realized the lack of them prior. Fourth try had enough juice to start the car. The radio clock had reset to noon and I now had a bright yellow engine light on my dash. I couldn't get into the dealership until Saturday and light had gone off by then. Well today I went to start the car and found a similar issue with a couple of differences. It started on the second try and when I tried to drive it had no power. The engine would not rev over 2 rpm and stayed around 20 mph. After parking and restarting it drives as though nothing is wrong. Though the check engine light is still on. I go to the dealer tomorrow to have the code read. I have the letter for the extended engine warranty, but it seems there is more to mine from everything I have read. Could this all be misfiring or does it sound like something else could be wrong. Anyone else have similar issues?
