Default 20 second high pitch beeping when turning car to on postion

title says it all. few times ran like crap one time yesterday it wouldn't stay running. but after turning off then back on giving it some heavy gas it ran fine. now its beeping every time l put key in on postion

I'm sorry to learn of your current issue. Are there any fault codes present or warning lights remaining illuminated in the cluster?

the tire lights on sometimes then sometimes not. i have correct tire pressure

That's not part of the factory equipment.


What it sounds like to me is one of those DUI blow devices and the alarm is going off on it.


The only other time I've heard something beep like that inside a car was from a shift inhibitor box for a handicap equipped van.

ok it might be the gps thing they installed when i bought it. they can shut it off if i don't pay

Yes they can. Or it can malfunction. OR...they could disable the wrong car.


However, I have never heard one beep like that. Usually, your car won't crank and maybe the security light will flash.
