I'm back. Hello
I went to start my car this morning, its a 2014 Dodge Avenger base model with about 50k miles, and nothing. It doesn't crank, not even a click. The dashboard lights stay on and don't dim. The radio will not turn on, not even show the clock. The power windows do not work.
I tried jumping it and still nothing. I checked the battery and it reads 12.0v.
I'm not sure if the blinking red light was always there when the key is turned to on but it is now.
(I don't drive the car its my wife's)

Any help is appreciated.

 

After a bit of research and investigating, I saw the odo saying no bus and read that I can try to reset the battery. I just did and it starts right up. I guess my question is why would the no bus happen in the first place.
