Engine? Mileage? Always done this? Just started? Why did you replace the heater core? Probably the radiator needs to be flushed. Proper mix of coolant in it? Water pump been checked? More info is needed please so we don't keep have to asking you questions.

Six cylinder engine, mileage 148,000, Replaced heater core because car was running hot and radiator smelled hot coming through vents when driving. I no longer smell this. Started about two months ago, had radiator flushed and thermostat replaced, just had heater core replaced two days ago. Water is circulating, so I thought water pump was good.
