2013 Avenger starts then dies but use the remote start and it runs.
Hey friends I have a 2013 avenger with after market remote start (had that for a while now). Just recently my car started doing this thing where it starts with the key but then almost 2 seconds later it just shuts off. Here's where it gets funny. If I use my remote start then the car stays running but I can not for the life of me start it with the key.
What I've tried:
1. New key fob battery (only one key so cant swap)
2 unplugged the battery for 24 hours. (well really I unhooked the negative from the strut housing)
3. Joined this forum when the above did not work.
If anybody has a real fix I would appreciate it. I'm am poor grad student and can't drop $400 on a new ECM.
