Question 2008 avenger oil light issue

Hello everyone. New here and just have a simple question that my searches cannot find a simple answer for. I have a 2008 avenger SXT 2.4 with about 140k miles. I recently changed my oil and now my oil light flickers. So it calls for 5w-20 and I went with Valvoline full synthetic 0w-20. From what I have read on various threads in various forums this shouldn't be an issue. I live in Florida so our nights are warm and our days are unbearable.
At first there were no problems. Then about 3 days later I noticed the oil light coming on at idle but as soon as I gave it a little gas it disappeared. Now at first I thought it was the sensor but not sure. Now it flickers after warm up all the time. Could the oil be too thin and thus not getting the correct oil pressure?

Any and all help is very much appreciated!
