Has anyone installed an aftermarket remote starter? My wife wants one for her '14 Avenger SE and I happen to have a spare compustar brain in my garage. I've installed them before, but I'm not sure about getting around the antitheft sensor in the key. Has anyone attempted this before?

 

best bet is to buy a programmable theft bypass kit. you do not want one of the old systems that have you put a transponder key in a box...if someone can get into the car and find the box, they have a key to drive away.

probably $100 plus programming.
