Nothing wrong with the car.."sound horn on unlock" is a feature you can turn on and off with your personal preferences setting.. You can pull those up through the EVIC information center.. On my 2013 its the menu button on the left side of the steering wheel..not sure on your 2008. But if the horn sounds and interior lights come on when you open it WITH THE REMOTE its normal.
If you've locked it with the remote and try to open it with the cut key it WILL trigger the anti-theft repeatedly beeping and flashing lights. Not sure what you meant by : "it beeps" so this should cover both
