It has been an interesting weekend. Went to Greenway Dodge Chrysler Jeep to purchase Oil Filter for the 2008 Dodge Avenger SE with the 2.4 Liter four cylinder Engine. The parts counter person informed me that they were prohibited to sell me any Oil Filters over the counter (Parts) unless of course you take the car over to service department. In other words, it was made clear that there is some kind of parts supply issue and the Oil Filters that are presently in STOCK are only for the Service Department. The earliest shipment for new Oil Filters is way until October 2022!
On Sunday I called another Dodge Dealer before they closed at 3:00pm and that Parts Counter person told me the same story! It is amazing how things are developing with the GLOBAL parts supply! The only alternative is to find someone selling the Genuine Dodge Oil Filter up at eBay! Well, I decided to purchase the MOBILE ONE high capacity protection Oil Filter with synthetic Fiber Blends from Auto Zone!
Today (morning) I ordered three Genuine Dodge Filters from eBay! It is perhaps the only manner to get the Genuine OEMs! I went with this one for now! Part number for the Engine Oil Filter for the 2.4 liter Engine. Not Available! Not Available! Just purchased these today!
