I recently noticed the idle gets rough when in park or drive and it's idling so hard that the hood vibrates. Which caused me to open the hood and look around. Everything seemed fine until I touched top radiator hose. Maybe I've never noticed it before but it was so hot I almost couldn't touch it. Is this normal? The car is not over heating at all. The cooling fan turns on. But I smell a sweet smell of coolant while driving. And it's extremely hot first thing when I start the car maybe a minute or two later its the same hotness of barely being able to touch it. Would this cause the idle issue I feel the answer will be no but I had to ask. Lol. I am at just 68k miles and need an oil change in a few days or miles. I use pennzoil platinum plus pure synthetic oil and have been doing the same Maintnance routine since I bought the car In FEB 2014. I replaced the top radiator hose and both thermostats since there is two on my car. The hose broke off so I did it myself. No issues at all since doing the repair.
