Default Project list.

Rebuilt transmission - finsihed putting it together last night. Can't install it this weekend.....decided to start on kegger mod. Finsihed cutting and now working on cleaning intake. Plate should arrive Tuesday.

Ordering rust panels tonight from http://c2cfabrication.com/. Found several places, but this appears to be the best price I have found. Damage wasn't from rust, but from blowouts by previous owner (he wasn't into buying good tires).

Plan to remove all dents, sand and paint entire truck. Trying to decide on bumper of roll pan for rear.

Ordered Bilstein 5100 shocks all around.

Ordered Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ 33x12.5 r17, because I had a little mishap after 5+ years and 61K miles...

Thanks for being so observant zman. Just know that they were not there when the jack was in place. C'mon...give some people credit or at least probe for the awareness. You can easily refrain from such personal remarks, but that's just my 2 cents of STFU right back at ya, in kind.

Lets see over the weekend I replaced both of the rear brake shoes and and all the hardware (springs and such). I replaced the rear adjusters (both sides) and had to replace the wheel seal on the passenger side. Rear brakes are working perfect again. Love the stopping power.

Default Kegger mod

So it seems that nearly everyone has done the kegger mod - and if not, will have to do one.

I know my truck will need this so I picked up an intake at a wrecking yard ($25) and have been shoppiong around for the plate. Hate to part with $80, and don't have time like Purple Dodge to make one (although I gave it serious thought).

I found one on eBbay for $49.99 plus $9.35 shipping. Bought it on August 30, and received it today (and with federal holiday yesterday - super fast shipping).

I found it at:

I checked it out and it is precise. Holes line up perfectly, edges cut smooth. I will be putting this together this evening. (now if I can get the transmission back in....)

Took the truck for a ride to the store today and when I put the seat belt on it was SOAKING WET!!!!
The house made it through Hurricane Irene ok, my truck not so ok. Had a little water on the passenger side floor mat so I dried it off. I said I wonder if any got under the rubber flooring, holy cow its soaking wet.. Pealed up the rubber mat and water is poring out of the padding and it smells like mold already.. So guess whos taking the rubber flooring out of their truck this weekend. CRAP!!!!
