So the other day I was out and doing things and I noticed that the auto door lock stoped working on the drivers door. I can move it up and down and it did nothing. Now once or twice it locked or unlocked but after that nothing dead. The botton on the passenger door works fine and dakotas dont have door lock bottons on the back doors of the quad models. Also as you all know who have auto locks that if the doors are unlocked when you start driving the truck locks them for you.......which that still works........so do I just have a bad switch on the drivers door?????

 

It sounds like a bad door switch, but it could be as simple as a dirty, corroded or loose connection if it is doing it intermittantly(sp?)

 

i noticed today that the window stoped working. i saw it looked like the lights were not on .....on the bottons so i gave the switches on the drivers dorr a little hit and then the lights were on and the window worked fine. Its not the motors because well they are all new as of less then 6 months ago

 

it could be the motor mine does the same it will go down but wont go of off of any switch does it make a loud squeel wen u push the buttom

 

no again all motors are new it is not the motor. as of right now no switches work on any door for any window or door locks..................RELAY?????????????

 

took drivers door panel off last night. Just as I guessed the wires connection fell off the switches. I put them back on and all is better
