Hi there. My 1st post. I love my 2000 Dakota !

My friend was to move my truck and used the key to unlock the door instead of the key fob. Of course my truck didn't start then because he hadn't unarmed my cutoff. It wouldn't even crank. Now the vehicle and fob are both dead. How can I reset it without going to the dealership?
I used the search option in this forum thinking for sure someone has asked this before but it returned no results. Thanks in advance for your time and advice!!!

Also, any advice on how my V8, 4.7 all time 4WD can improve gas mileage?
