A stomp on the pedal can correct understeer depending on what's under the hood. But I do agree with you, but in mine it's more like I am a drift king of the neighborhood when it rains. Great skill to learn but I would prefer not to have to learn it in order to survive.

Whe I first got my truck, it had 235's on it, and I locked up the fronts constantly and it caused me to wreck twice because I didn't have the driving skill to trail brake or punch it out of an understeer condition. Almost caused me to wreck a third time and that's when I swapped tires and put the more worn out pair in back.

I just put new fronts on, if I got pulled over I'd get a ticket for the back, but I can catch an oversteer. Like you said, sometimes it feels like you're drifting, but once you learn what the speed threshold is, you can adapt to conditions. There's been a few times where sliding the back end has actually helped keep me from hitting something.

I am lucky, when it comes to driving I have a natural talent only reinforced by the mileage I've done. So the kicking out the tail is something I've handled. Just having to find that limit of the tires is something I am still learning, I am glad though my tires are 235

I drove threw a winter about 10,000 miles worth. They never caused me to slide or lose control unless I wanted it to. Being in a little country town once the roads get covered in snow the drifting begins. It really helps to teach you how to control the vehicle in a out of control situation.

This is how bald my tires were

Then I bit the bullet and upgraded! Never realized what new tires felt like. I love bfg's they have been great to me.

My truck already has an assload of torque and bald tires. I can tell you when transferring to different pavement under light throttle in the rain causes the *** end to kick out at 70mph, your butt will pucker.

I can't afford new tires ATM, so I'm stretching these ones as far as I can. Probably go till cords show unless i get a fixit ticket before then (I better not be jinxing myself). I could keep them to race on, but I'd have nowhere to keep them other than chained in my bed.
