2002 dakota QC 4x4 V6 question about front wheel bearings and hubs

Default 2002 dakota QC 4x4 V6 question about front wheel bearings and hubs

Sounds like my wheel bearings are bad in my front end, seems like Dakota's require to replace hubs also? Can you buy just bearings or no? Also what other make and model trucks will fit? I want new rims for my truck and all the sets for sale around me are for Chevy or Ford, no 6x114.3.... Can I put different hubs on and if so is it as easy as just replacing the hubs or??? Any help is appreciated, and again not critical to changing hubs but would be nice to know I could if dirt cheap set of wheels roll around

I believe anything dodge after, say 97 or so, is a serviceless unihub assembly. There is no spindle anymore.

I don't know if the hubs off a ram will fit. I highly doubt it though.

You can buy the whole assembly off ebay for less than $50. I just put one on mine. Really easy to do.

Buy a better one than a $50 one.

I just bought a $50 one to replace and its bad again after only 8 months.

Will be buying a Timken one this summer from RockAuto and paying an absolute fortune in shipping (cause im Canadian) but I wont ever have to replace it again.

So did I - I thought the price was too good to be true and it was.

Like I said, I'll probably replace both hubs with Timken's this summer.
