On my way home saw a Ram over the hill next to the river trying to pull out a vehicle.
The stuck vehicle was a Jeep Cherokee. Cherokee driver said he was over hill fishin',
rain came
, he could get out. The Ram guy was just spinnin' his wheels.
Told Ram guy I could pull him out. Ram got out of the way. Thought I was going to have to pull him out as well.
I backed up, Ram guy hooked us up. I put it in 4 lo
and eased up to take up the slack.
After I had moved the Cherokee about 10 feet I stopped and asked what happen, strap come loose?
Ram guy said no you were pullin' him out then you stopped, you OK?
Cherokee didn't put a strain on me so I thought we were unhooked or something.
So I just took my foot off the break and continued to drag the Cherokee back out to blacktop.
Nasty slick river mud is slick but no match for the Dakota.
Wasn't an 18-wheeler but still feel good knowing the v8 Ram couldn't pull out
his buddy and I could.

sidethought:
On a slick surface, torque is the last thing you want. Be it ice, wet road, slick clay, whatever. All torque does is break loose.
When you have more traction than torque, everybody wins.
