Default New and wanting help.

2001 , 4 door , 4.7L (Cold air , headers , TB spacer), Auto, 4x4 . (Wife's Truck)

She came home ran in the house to get something. Truck was idle outside.
Truck died. Restart idle for about 1 minute and dies.

I tried to pull codes and only get "Pdone" NO CODES.
I cycle the key fire it up and it runs for about 5 minutes. The fuel light comes on and the truck dies. No restart unless I cycle the key. I am thinking fuel pump. BUT I can hear it prime (Key on engine off)

Without throwing $225 at it for a new pump I thought I would ask here first.

James.

Go rent or borrow a fuel pressure tester.

4.7 is easy is has a screw on valve at the rail passenger side.

Will do TNtech . It is the only step I can think of. Having the pump , Sending unit , filter and regulator in 1 unit.... It is the only way I see to test it.
Thank you.
