My mistake see post in correct forum

 

.I have a 97 Dodge Dakota 5 speed 5.2 and it was idleing rough like it was going to stall.I got a p 1398 code that is crankshaft positioning sensor I got one from eBay for like 25 bucks in it's going bad gonna get one from dealer I heard is the way to go

 

Seems odd that it only causes a problem for a short period of time... After warming up only for a few minutes... After this few minutes I can drive it for hours without an issue... This comment applies for tune up comments like wires plugs and cap... it feels more like high idle not coming off when it is suppose to and it is running rich for a few minutes then corrects itself... as I said after a few minutes everything is normal when engine is warm issue does not occur... only from a cold start...
