A/C removal
Hi
I am wanting to remove my A/C system. Putting my truck into a part time drag truck is the reason why..
If I remove the A/C system, I know that I would have to get a smaller belt.
Currently the belt runs as a U shape going under the water pump pulley
Taking the A/C off would then put the belt more or less into a straight line from under the W/P pulley over to the Tensioner.
Would this still put enough pressure onto the W/P pulley to turn it or do I need to put in a small aux pulley in the A/C spot ???

not sure your model year or engine. If they have a non-ac version...see what the difference is. maybe all you need is a idler and non a/c belt. I have seen some vehicles that offer an aftermarket a/c delete kit.
