Default How many miles on your Dakota?

What year and power train and how many miles do you have?

I have a 2002 Club Cab, 4.7 5 speed manual 4x4. It has 63000 on it. I use it to tow 4500 lbs and haul stuff to the dump. Always maintained and oil sprayed annually. Runs great.

3.9L magnum 1998, auto. Around 300K and runs great. Removed one head, thought I had a problem with a head gasket possibly, random misfires. Really surprised how well the head looked. I guess that says something for cast iron. Think I'll keep this truck and use it on some land I plan on buying. Truly a work horse.

Just took mine on a 400 mile trip. It developed a random whistling noise while cruising which I suspect is a vacuum leak. 17.5 mpg. No issues otherwise. Had a two hour stretch where I needed 4x4 as it was snowing so hard you couldn't see more than 50 feet in front of the truck.

2001 Quadcab, 3.9 V6, 5 speed manual, all original including silver paint (w/ good clearcoat). Only replaced the clutch at 225,000 due to the wife riding the clutch and burning up the release bearing. 276,000 thousand miles. Uses one quart of oil per oil change period of 5,000 miles. I I need to upload some pictures.

BTW, glad to be here!

Currently have a 1998 Club Cab 4x4 SLT 5.2 auto with 200K, I bought it last month with 196K to replace the 1992 4x4 SLE (same configuration) that fell victim to an encounter with an elk at 50 MPH @ 216K miles.

Hope this one doesn't go the same route.

Steve
