Default Rapid Deceleration

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport v6 3.9L 4WD. About a month ago I installed a new throttle body, and a new accelerator cable clip. I have in the past few days experienced rapid deceleration when taking my foot off the accelerator pedal at 50+mph. I felt the transmission downshift once or twice and my mph went from 70 to about 50 in about 10 seconds or less. I am a student who can't afford an expensive mechanic bill. Anyone experience similar deceleration of anytype? Any suggestions on what may be causing it?

Parking brake hung, or a caliper hung. Does it pull one direction or the other?? Do you smell brakes at all?? After driving check each wheel and see if any are hotter than the others.

I scheduled an oil change since I was over, but I've been over by more than 500 miles before with no issues. But the oil change really helped my case, as well as engaging and disengaging the parking brake a few times. The issue is not fixed, but it has shown improvement. Now my Dak doesn't downshift and slow down rapidly, it just slows down faster than normal now. There was no smell of brakes overheating, or brake fluid on the rotors or pads, I know what that smells like. It doesn't pull to one side, the wheels are equally hot. I've had caliper issues in the past but both are new in the past 4 years. I had my transmission rebuilt about 4 years ago now. The odd thing is that this only happens at the higher speeds, 50mph and over, it doesn't happen in the slightest at anything under 50mph. Transmission fluid looked still new and good last time I checked. Could this be an issue with the fluid in the transfer case?
