Where does this hose go!
Hello all!
I have a 97 dakota 5.2 V8 157K miles. There is a hose that leaves my charcoal canister (prob 1/2" to 3/4" rubber and plastic hose) and it runs the length of the vehicle up to the drivers side of the motor. I think it was attached to a weird metal cap that was just hanging alongside my motor. I only noticed this because it was smoking profusely one day, and now it is gone. I recently had my tranny rebuilt, and ended up with a very rough idle and lag/miss on acceleration(around 2k RPMs). I found the hose just stuffed up near my fire wall with what looked like the hose was ripped apart(end of hose was very jagged). I am at my wits end with this, and I believe that this is what is causing my vacuum leak. Can anyone please help? Anyone have a schematic of my truck that I may reference?
Thanks so much for your time
