My father passed away last month. He always was a Dodge guy. We only drove Dodge. Anyway, it is a beautiful 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport 4X4 V8 5.2L auto, fully loaded with all the bell's and whistles. It also has a 2002 Fisher Minute Mount plow

The ABS indictator light is always on. Before my dad passed, he brought the truck to the dealer, and was told that it needed a whole new computer at a cost of $2,000. There is nothing wrong with the truck, everything is functioning, just the warning lightsare on. I have been reading the post's and have done some google searching, I am wondering if this is true?

The KBB is $8400 and I would like to get at least $7,000 for it. When I sell it, should I lower the price because of this problem? I mean, I need to purchase a head stone for him, and he would come back and kill me if I sold it for less than it was worth.



I have guys coming to view it this weekend. Any help would be much appreciated.

the light may be on due to a bad tone ring (abs gear cant think of the name its on each wheel)or possibly a bad abs sensor or mabie mud, you can have the computer flashed...way less than 2,000 dont think thats the problem tho!

 

if youre in New jersey and near enough to me (butler, booton, pequanock area) i would give you 6500 for it if that is enough? let me know where you are, i may still be interested in it either way
